![](http://www.carlhobbsag.com/agtag1_CHAgsSm.JPG) Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | I got an email while ago while heading to the farm, and would like to share the highlights.
A story from a county agent in south Georgia: Bob Kemarait, UGA Plant Pathologist, says, the county agent "...just brought me a sample of soybean leaves from commercial farm in his county. Grower got busy harvesting corn and did not feel he had the time to spray his soybeans with a fungicide. Crop is currently at R4-R5 and soybean rust is rampant throughout the field, likely approaching 100% incidence and severity of 35% +. Grower wanted to know what to spray and I had to tell him it is too late. Estmated yield loss- from our experience at least 25% or more of potential yield. Bottom line- conditions are perfect for explosion of soybean rust across much of Coastal Plain of Georgia."
