Subject: RE: Priorities

My livestock consists of stocker calves.  From early spring through late fall the only feeding is grain in the mornings and occasionally hay if I have some new calves in corrals.  All weighing, sorting, loading or vaccinations are done in the morning before heading off to fieldwork.  Evenings wife or daughter fill stock tanks and call if any seem sick.  Those times, I come home sooner so we can sort the sick one off to the sick pen.

I pay more attention to the calves then the field work as they net more per acre then wheat or milo.  Since it is easier to do field work after dark, the calves always come first.
