We still have about 2 miles or so. I have cut hedge for line posts in the past and planted them right away. Never had a problem with them. It is a JOB!!! But dang, it is expensive to go to the lumberyard and those green colored posts don't seem to last very long.
I pulled a 8-10" hedg post last fall where we needed to widen a gate. Lord knows how long it was there........and still solid
