Subject: Are we set up for a disaster?

West Union, Illinois

We have been stomping around our corn fields as well as a few neighbors.  Had lunch with a couple seed corn reps and happened to talk to another while there.  The concensus seems to be we are one big wind away from a disaster. (their words, not mine)

Lots of fields look OK, but when you get to walking around and pushing on stalks the just collapse.  Does not appear limited to one hybrid, trait, or company.

Anybody else seeing this or is it just a local problem?
