Allegan County Michigan
I swear by RYMAR...oil based good stuff. I get mine at the local ben moore paint store here in Michigan. FIL told me no longer available in Illinois, I noticed on their website "not voc compliant in all states". It does have a strong smell when you first apply it (wife says it stinks) but smell goes away and the stain soaks in. You have to keep it stirred when applying, very thin consistency, but man it soaks in and lasts. I pressure wash the deck lightly every summer and re apply every four or five years. First time is the worst, you will go through some gallons, subsequent applications not as much. If your deck is new, wait a year for it to get good and dried out before staining.

I think it is made in WI.
