Subject: grazing cornstalks that was combined with knife rolls

how does grazing cornstalks work on a field that was combined with knife rolls. Ive had straight rolls in the past and graze cows every fall. I also bale up a very cornstalks by raking with a v-rake. Does that work alright even if the stalks are shorter
