| I try to rotate patures where I feed stocker calves and also cows. You can bring fertility rates up pretty fast by rotating pastures, especially if you are feeding grain rations, or a ddg ration that is high in Phosphorus. I'm trying to clean lot's and spread manure, that's gonna be the only thing that feasible for next year unless cow prices about double. Guys are back asking $25-$35 for a big round bale of grass hay. That ain't gonna fly. | |
