Subject: Wet distillers grains in silage pile

Has anyone here added wet distillers grains to their silage pile as they pack it?

My plan was to have the WDG delivered and dumped by the pile location, then as we pack the pile with the loader, we spread some after each load of silage. My reasoning for this was to use it to maybe add moisture to the pile, as well as allow it to ferment with the silage. It would also allow us to be able to take delivery of it all at once, rather than fight to get a steady supply through the year. Not to mention not dealing with frozen chunks of it during the winter.

Also, we don't cover our pile with plastic, will not sealing it cause problems with excess spoilage, deeper into the pile?

Or shoot some other ideas out there, I am all ears.
