| My JD 893 cornhead with knife rolls really pulverizes the stalks and I tend to run my head lower so it almost looks like I did chop the stalks and I inject manure between the rows before fall tillage which does some tillage already and also buries some residue. Like I said the ripper at an angle after the manure helps with the compaction from harvest and manure but it's slow because it's only 5 shank and it brings up them dang rocks. | |
