Are self-feeders a cost effective way to finish out anything other than holsteins. Seems the feed efficiency is lower and pretty limited to dry feeds with self feeders. Anyone still using them on beef and feel they are still paying their way. Seems bringing them to the bunk 2 or 3 times a day is still the way to go for maximum intake and best feed conversions. What do you think.
