| jmhuz3, I removed the small odd sided extensions that came with the cart, welded 30 inch 4x4x5/16 angles on the outside of each corner and 28 inch 2.5x2.5x 1/4 angle iron 32 inches from the corners on the inside for additional support. The inside angles had to be notched to fit over the rolled lip at the top of all sides. The most difficult part was finding straight 2x12 boards for the extensions. One note of caution, be sure your combine auger will clear the sides if you decide to give it a try. Good luck. | |
