I've been enjoying and reminiscing about your pig pictures. Used to help a neighbor across the road who had about 40 sows and did farrow to finish. Everything was on dirt floors bedded heavily with straw except for the farrowing house which was cement set up with 10 farrowing crates. Once the little ones were a couple weeks old you could pull the dividers out between the crates and turn them into a creep area behind the crates. It was a low budget set up and sort of labor intensive but it was still lots of fun. Sort of miss those days. The most important thing I learned from helping was patience. Once in awhile we would have to load a double decker straight truck on the top deck. Fat hogs never seemed to like the steep ramp and liked to turn back. You just need to have patience and keep trying until you accomplish the goal. Thanks for the compliment on the videos. You will have to be sure and check out the school bus on the tractor pull sled in the Tractor Pull Clips folder as well as the tiling machines running in the Dowler Ditch Replacement folder |
