cropsey, il 61731 | We have 3 finishers and raise 4800 at a time. It's a family business - my wife and 5 kids start out very involved when we start new pigs and for some reason are less and less interested when they get large and not as cute. I grow for a local guy who has 20 other guys like us - I think of it as the new 'family' hog farm - instead of one family it's several of us. We've been raising pigs since 2002 and so far it has worked really well for us. We try to keep the 'peta moments' down to a minimum (ie. chasing pigs who don't mind having their tail chewed off, but can't stand needles), but they are pigs and it's always a bit of an adventure.
