letting it cool down some will help it set up more, less runny. We have piled it before using your method. We got a four wheeler on it and "packed" it more just made it smooth. Plastic laying directly on wdg will have 3-6 inches of mold-rotten stuff. Found that a thin layer of corn stalks, or ground hay reduces spoilage.
