Little River, TX | It can be done though.
When I went into the Air Force out of ROTC I was informed to stop chewing or loose my chance to fly. Stopped chewing right then.
Five years later decided to quit smoking when I spent some breakfast money for a pack of cigarettes. Decided I should stop smoking or stop eating.
Never did want a smoke after quitting, but could and did crave a chew for the next 20 years.
As was said the desire to quit has to be stronger than the physiological craving is.
Years later I found chewing is not only a cause of mouth an throat cancer but is a cause of colon cancer. Smoking not only makes you stink, susceptible to heart and cancer problems. One cancer not mention for smokers is bladder cancer. After surgery life can go on but life becomes more complicated, when you use a plastic bag to collect body waste.
