Subject: Moved an 18' six ring bin last Wed.

There is a bin mover in this area that has a truck setup for lifting bins. It is basically a really tall boom that folds up and down and then uses a cable and winch to lift the bin.

He picked up the bin dropped the bottom 3 rings off and split them so that the rest of the bin would sit over top of the 3 rings. Moved it on a planter trailer 8 miles to my place and set the bottom 3 rings on my pad dropped the next 2 rings off of the bin onto the ground and attached these to the roof and 3 rings off of another bin. Then we put the roof and 5 rings on top of the 3 rings that were on the pad and tightened everything up. The bin is now 8 rings tall.

The bin mover was here for about 7 hrs and charged me $660. If I wouldn't have made it taller it would've only cost around $350 and only took about 3 hrs.
