Subject: RE: Headline on wind stripped corn??

Last year sprayed headline by plane, they stripped one field for me . I had the same brand and number of corn in that field and the adjacent field . Don't know about the accuracy or the drift factor but I wanted to make some test before I sprayed everything in the future. The sprayed strips ( quite wide) yielded from 6 to 12 bu. more per acre. It also beat the adjacent field by an average of 8 bu. The adjacent unsprayed field is usually better ground ( well drained) .

It was a very unscientific test but I needed 4 bu / acre increase to break even, and I got An average of 9 bu / acre.

This year I sprayed everything with headline.
