SW Idaho | I finished 30 minutes before you but have to go cut 60 acres for brother. Went to Cascade Thursday and to Nyssa then Owyhee Fair today and there is still a lot of wheat out there. Your area looks like about done but other areas still have a week or two to go yet. Highway from Nyssa to Adrian was white with all the wheat on the side of the road from being blowed off the trucks. Going to be fun to get all this wheat grown around here to the river.
See the spuds are dying down and seen some harvesters hooked to the tractors already. Onions looked fairly good but seen a few tops starting to go down, maybe thrip, and there appeared to be a white tint to them. Do they have mildew or is that just normal? Boy some of the best beets I've seen around in your area. | |
