Perhaps I have the terminology wrong. From the aftermarket parts catalogs, it apprears there is a narrow plate that bolts on to the front edge of the elephant ears that they call a wear bar. This comibne does not have them on, neither did the 1640 we had before. Hate to throw away the whole impeller when it seems just the front edge is worn down...

Thought of the Stewart modification, but it is a lot more money. Seems like I read where an AFX rotor feeds so much smoother that you can easily overload the rotor before you know it / hear it with the limited HP you have in the 2344. Do you have any experience with the Stewart system?
