Last year had a field we checked for 3 weeks (near a river) had counts go up and down from the 18-80 over those 3 weeks. Our other fields we had aphids in for 1 week and when we hit 80 we sprayed everything. The field that had aphids on for 3 weeks was a dissapointing 41 bu/acre, while the fields with aphids on them for 1 week were 50-60 bu. I know this is not scientific but it has been my observation after battling these pests for the last 8 years. Good luck. | |
