SE ND | Also check for any binding at all. I have had the anti-rotation backets loosen up over time and it will cause the unit to bind a litte making the wheel harder to steer which also makes it "grind". If you go to the wheel motor test you should be able to test left and right while sitting on a hard surface with no trouble or grinding at all. Steering wheel speed sounds good to me, in my experience Deere's suggested wheel speed is always way high for the original wheels.
