SE WASH | Just got done last week with harvest and averaged 53.5 Bu/ac, tested 63 lbs, our normal average is low/mid 40's. Wheat looked good going into the spring and then cold weather and no rain for 8 weeks then three days at or near 100. Cooked the south slopes. Then we got rain! 2.25 inches over 3 weeks and that saved our bacon and filled the heads. This is SE Wash. area. Sounds like the guys in the north/central parts of the state are really hurting this year.
