Yes, I wrapped the cowpeas millet.
I don't have a clue how the mix would graze, but the cowpeas act like they will grow on about nothing,
45 days from planting to harvest sounds pretty fast, but I've got to remember you've actually got longer days this time of year than we do. If you get it cut and conditioned while still pretty small, like waist high, then you should have a chance. There's only been one time in probably 10 years of growing it we've been able to get sudan to dry well enough to bale without wrapping. It makes really, really, really nice feed wrapped. | |
