West Central Wisconsin | We pay $5 per load wether it's 15 bales or 140,(average is 120). This is for unloading with two or three on the wagon. We will pay $6 for mowing but my brother and I,(owners), usually take those jobs. We provide transportation, plenty of water/gator-ade, snacks and gloves. We can usually knock down two loads per hour so it comes out to about $10 hourly. We like to take the "crew" out for breakfast at the end of the season. It wouldn't bother me to pay $6-7 per load because that would only amount to another $100-200 per year. It's getting harder every year to find kids willing to help hay so we like to show our appreciation by treating them well. | |
