Im not saying there arent good AI sires available but most carcass promoted bulls have been a total failure. Total lack of traits that make a good cow with the ability to go out and raise a calf without extra feed. What bulls work for you? You mean AI has taken your herd to better places than the bulls you did use? We started AI in the 70's and still do today but have seen a dramatic increase in the quality of calves in the bulls we use that came from Ohlde Cattle Co. from Kansas.
Many of the worst wrecks we have had with cattle were produced from carcass bred AI sires. Problems with Milk, Re-breeding, Fleshing ability etc.
Why do you sell cattle directly instead of letting buyers compete for them at Auction?
What are some Angus bulls that you think are improvers?
