| I read the label today, and the drop nozzle issue seems to be centered around avoiding getting material in the whorl. So, I'd say you should be okay with drops, but I would question the effectiveness (from a yield protection standpoint) of spraying close to tassel.
Anytime we have tried to get over top of corn close to tassel for whatever reason, I have always cringed at the possibility of breaking the tops out of the plant.
