Getting to that point here in Colorado too, pastures are going to be bare in about another 2-3 weeks without some rain. The 25% reduction would be worth it.

The kicker is on our CRP ground, the cover will definately benefit from grazing, removing/trampling some of the old cover and breaking up the surface of the ground will generate more growth next year...

My question is, what's going to happen to the people who didn't liquidate as many cattle planning on going onto CRP next week, and now have their pastures about gone AND too many cows...going to force more liquidation than they would have done in the spring...Too many people outside agriculture have no clue about the planning required and how early decisions have to be made sometimes...
