| We are using 100% fiberglass posts-corner and line. We drill holes in the posts, NO insulators. 3" square posts. Drove one 3 feet in the ground, couldn't pull it back out with a 95hp tractor. In the corners, we use 12" I-beams. Drive them at least 5 feet deep. 5 wires, don't think you need more. Can make all 5 hot if we want to, usually make 3 hot and 2 ground. We have 180 head locked up on 2 acres, they haven't got out yet. Best thing is, no nails getting rusty; I think the wire will last longer that way. | |
