Saronville NE | Well we plant our pearl millet really thick so the stems are more fine, we plant about 26-30 lbs to the acre, so it dries faster and we never seem to have to worry about nitrates with the millet versus the sudax, seems my cattle guys prefer it over the sudax and thats why we keep plantin it. I just looked at my german millet a few min ago, when I went to go get the neighbor kid who was rakin alfalfa for me right next to it and its over ankle high in less than 3 weeks, but that stuff never gets over about waist high anyways. We didnt put any fertilizer on it. I did plant some pearl millet at home the 1st of june and walked out in it and its 18in tall allready. | |
