There's a guy over at Millersburg MO making a recycled plastic post. I'll have to check it out a little further. I've been using hedge for corners and steel with insulators for the runs with pretty good success. However, it gets a little old sometimes having shorted out fences on steel posts. Mostly what I've run are 4-5 wire feedlot fences and 2 wire division fences. At this time all the boundary fences are woven or barb wire, some with hot wires run inside. Some of those exterior fences are needing to be replaced soon and the cost of woven wire is just about prohibitive. I agree on the CCA and PENTA posts. One of the pastures I rent had all new fences put on it about 10 years ago and the corner posts are rotting off. | |
