Subject: Goats... yes goats - anybody with experience?

West Central, IA
Have an option in the area on an empty hog finishing/confinement barn, all slats. I also have a friend in the meat goat business and he can provide me a pretty lucritive outlet for the meat goats.

The fences and waters are gone so it's a big open pen basically. Anyone ever try meat goats in confinement? Technically I think it might work if i put something in there for them to stay occupied (buckets, bowling balls, tree stump...etc). Could put some rubber mats along one end for sleeping/laying.

Will the 24/7 cement tear up their legs and hooves or cause hip issues? One brand better than another on the meat goats in this type enviroment? Will the manure be able to be agitated and pumped out or will I end up with a solid the bottom of the pit? (Yikes)...
Thanks
