North Idaho | OK I got the results on one of the beef that went to the butcher.. The hanging weight was right at 700 lbs. The customer asked for very lean hamburger, left some bones in steaks and roasts not sure how much. Any way His packaged beef netted 488 lbs. So the net was hanging to packaged darn close to 70%. He was happy so am I.
I received $1.85 hanging = $1295
cut and wrap $.40 = $ 280
kill fee/butcher = $ 44
check off tax = $ 23
brand fee = $ 3
Total Price= $1695 or $3.47 per pound of packaged beef
I don't think that is to bad for the customer | |
