Subject: Way too many variables.

Little River, TX
What is the cost of or selling value of land is a big variable.

What is or was the cost of building a facility.

What is the cost of feed per 100 lbs of milk.
What is the labor cost per 100 lbs of milk.

How good or bad is the cull percentage, can be a major factor. Can you sell replacement heifers to others, or do you buy heifers from off the farm.

It is none of my business to know the books of others and if I did know I would could not honorably tell.

Still in East Texas with their relatively inexpensively priced land. The ability to use an open sided parlor, and most feed being in the form of grazing I would suggest their break even is $6 maybe as much as $8. Depending on their management skills.
