Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | Here we are, behind some 90 bushel wheat, planting a G7 soybean down here. Yes, there is a pivot in this field.
We are pulling a 9 shank KMC V-Ripper (remember we have sandy soils that compact easily) with the JD No Till Drill tied to the back. We stopped up the front rows, leaving the back for a 15" spacing. We calibrated for 7 seed per foot, allowing for a 50% stand loss to heat, lesser corn stalk borers, and other problems in burned over wheat stubble. I told you this unit came from Ohio. Grower bought it used from a dealer lot up there somewhere, but could not remember where, but he did not buy from Greenline, Ed.
