South Central Kansas, Harper County | Both options #1 & #2, will let your ground dry out and you will lose critical moisture for your crop. IMO, that is key to doublecrop, get it planted into moisture, and quick emergence. With that in mind, option #3 should give you the best results. I notil, so it is an easy decision for me to make. :-) If you were assured of adequate moisture soon after planting, a person may be successful with the first two options.
Unless you have a history of crabgrass, you may think about using Atrazine instead of the Dual or Bicep. The later planting, with either of your planting options, you should have your crabgrass under control by planting, and grasses may not be a problem with your growing season. |
