| Hit it with a little Stinger in that mix, smokes them faster than anything.
Custom sprayed a couple hundred acres of CRP with that mix, killed the thistles and kept it clean for two years. Didn't re-spray the next year. There were spots that were solid thistles and the seed was flying by the time they called me. The third year we went back in with the same mix but only had scattered plants to clean up, not solid patches.
One a side note, I never saw as many fat Goldfinches as I did on that job. There were flocks of birds in the hundreds coming up in front of the sprayer out of those thistle patches. I mentioned that to the local NRCS head and got a "deer in the headlights" look. Damned if I didn't kill off their food source!
She was beside herself with that dilemma!
