I have planted a few late soybeans but not a lot. If 3.6 maturity is the norm in you area, I would stick with it. If 3.6 is not available, I would go with later 3.7 or 3.8 rather than earlier. Soybeans are a lot different than corn. The early maturities will start flowering sooner after planting and will yield less because the plant will not get big enough. The later maturity soybeans will get a little more size before they flower and will yield more.
