This is going to shake out as a very bad year. No doubt about it.

If you can make a profit this year, good for you.

When they pick up an ear of sweetcorn in the vegetable aisle while discussing ethanol's part in fuel increases, I just want to scream! Maybe that should be scram!

The year looked so optimisitic and went downhill fast from there.

So I guess it is all about attitude, isn't it, besides balancing the checkbook?

Can you imagine the fear in grandpa when the neighbors started running to him after the stock market crash?

Can you imagine the fear in dad when the whole corn crop was under water at tassle?

They didn't seem to flinch. I know they did but they never showed it.
