Martinsville, Ohio | If you have the disease pressure down there we have in wheat now and will have in corn later, I don't see how it couldn't pay. It does vary though from hybrid to hybrid. If it's a racehorse with less disease resistance, bigger bump. If it's a workhorse with a good disease package, less bump.
Has the consultant worked with it much? I worked with it hard for two years when it was introduced and saw as high as 45 bu but the avg was 12 so someone pulled the average down! If he knows his stuff and looking at your net profit, listen to him.
Does he talk to the sales agronomist? I sure do. We look at every angle. Sometimes they call me first, usually I call them first. Got to call one right now.
