You say you didn't really see a yield bump last year, did you have checks within the field to get a good test? There are different factors that influence if you will see a yield increase. 1. Seed variety - check with you seed provider or chemical seller to see if they have any data on using Headline and the results. There has been alot of testing and they should have results for your area 2 Disease pressure - I haven't been to LA but I know that alot of soybeans are sprayed every year with fungicides so I would assume that it would be benefical for corn 3. Plant health - how is the crop doing - I have read a lot about Headline providing Plant Health for corn if the corn is distressed and helps prevent down corn during harvest. Considering corn prices today, it would be very hard not to spray your corn with Headline as it doesn't take much of a yield bump or plant health affects to pay for the treatment.
