What, you say no-till is firmer than tilled? We are told on here that no-till makes for better soil structure, which to me says looser soil. I must be wrong. I guess your no-till worms are not doing their work.
Yep, you're wrong.
In most conditions continuous no-till will produce better soil structure which increases the firmness of the soil.
I know, that concept can be difficult to understand. Not every old dog is capable of learning new tricks.
