I never understood why some people say you can't plant soybeans too shallow. For many years I planted both corn and soybeans at 1.75 inches. About five years ago, I went to 2.0 inches on corn and stayed with 1.75 inches for soybeans. I never plant less for corn or soybeans and I have never had to replant anything.
