Central Missouri
Ed, I have kept a watch on the prediction tool all spring for my area of central MO. It never went into the medium or high until today and is now in that area for a large part of central MO. Our wheat is 80% flowered. I have felt all spring with the wet weather that we have a big chance of fusarium. Alot of quilt went on when folks could have spent less and applied folicure or spent a bit more and applied proline/folicur. I sprayed my early variety by ground 9 days ago with proline/folicur. My late variety was done by air yesterday and the day before. A little late, due to too much wind but couldn't do by ground as didn't want the compaction. We will see for my area how good the prediction model is this year. I hope fusarium isn't bad because it could take a very good looking crop and make it a very unpleasant crop.
