Subject: Re: Storing corn seed over winter in basement

Near Richmond, IN
Best long term storage is at 50 degrees and 50% humidity. The basement might be a little too humid but the temp should be close. Actually it will store pretty well in any building that keeps it from getting too hot. We sell seed and always have carryover seed and have never had any problems with good quality seed stored in a warehouse type building-that's insulated so it doesn't get too warm in the summer.
