| I'm old enough to remember planting beans that way msb. Was always told to look over at your last pass as you plant the other way & if you don't see a few beans on top you're planting them too deep.
I can't remember the planter model # but it was an IH with runner openers, pre 56 series. It was 4 row and had "powerlift", which was pre hyd for the young guys. In corn it would plant either "hill drop" or "drill". I can remember when we switched from hill drop to "drilling" as corn is done today. Probably late '50s | |
