you can't plant beans too shallow or corn too deep anyhow?

What was dad's opinion of the seeding depth when the planting started?

It's a little late for an opinion after the seeds are in the ground.

If the seeds are covered and the slot is closed hope for cool weather and they just might finish sprouting.
