In the last 24 hours, we have experienced a similar scene. Only difference is that it took two little showers to do it--one was 2.5 inches in less that two hours followed by another 2 inches less than 12 hours latter. A lot of fields are turning green around here, but it is not from something that has been planted. LOTS of corn to be planted yet--don't know of any beans planted in our area.
