Subject: I certainly was'nt questioning the truth of the idea.....


if you are refering to me that is. I simply am looking to learn as much as I can in a short time about some of these methods and why they work. I'll be doing some trial and error things this fall I hope when I try to no-till in some grass seed.

When we used to grow fresh sweet corn, we planted with a JD planter and we had a similar instance to one you stated about the corn doing a 180 as it tryed to emerge. We had the field half preirrigated when they changed our planting date and we had to post irrigate the other half. The post irrigated/pregerm side was a mess. The row crusted as the weather turned hot and windy and we could'nt get a rotohoe on it fast enough.
