Several years ago I had the same situation. I sidedressed 32% and cultivated - which was a real pain in the a--. Some corn was 2-3 foot tall, some was 2-3 inches tall. The stunted corn never caught up of course, but it was far from the disaster I had planned on. From memory, the monitor showed 220+ bpa on the good land to 120 bpa on the poor. Extra N is the key, and a cultivation will more than pay for itself.
