Lets just hope he's buying KY or Martin or something from around here, instead of that foreign stuff from out west. Tongue out  3' Tall???  what kinda grass are you smokin'??  Laughing  Sure isn't anything from this side of the rockies.

 

Looks like there ought to be a price this year. I don't know if we are going to have any without cattle on it, though. Time (and price) will tell.

 

Tim, it has to go a long time to get much seed that's going to produce. If it's not at least close to turning color it's still got a ways to go. It's like wheat or any other grass, you can pick the seed and judge it's stage....once you get to a firm plump seed it can probably be cut and left to dry in the sod....but I don't think that's really what you want to do on your yard, although it should work if you can stand waiting. I'd say somewhere around June 6 should be a good date to have seed if it has not been cut this spring. If it's been cut already you are kinda in uncharted waters.
